About MichaelMichael Pfitzer is Director of Music at First Parish Church of Stow & Acton in Stow, MA and the Choral Associate at Harvard University. He is currently an assistant conductor with the Harvard-Radcliffe Chorus and the Cambridge (MA) Community Chorus. Mr. Pfitzer formerly taught at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, conducting the University Chorus and Masters Singers. He has also been an assistant conductor for the Madison (WI) Symphony Chorus, UW Concert Choir, Tufts Concert Choir, and Tufts Chamber Singers.
Mr. Pfitzer has studied conducting with Beverly Taylor, Andrew Clark, Dr. Clinton Smith, Dr. William Weinert, and Jeff and Brenda Vredenburg. He earned an M.M. degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a B.A. in Music and History from Tufts University. Please click here for a complete bio. |
